1. Make sure your student comes to school-everyday.

8. Make sure your astudents gets enough sleep and eats breakfast.

2. Make sure your student does their homework-everyday.
9. Come to parent teacher conferences to talk with your student's teachers.
16. Make sure your student reads books and newspapers.
3. Make sure your student is taking challenging courses.

10. Make sure your student is passing all of their classes.
17. Talk to your student about their future. Help them make a plan.
4. Check your student's homework every week.

11. Talk to your student about school.
18. Encourage and support your student.
5. Call the teache if you have any questions.

6. Make an appointment to see the teacher if you need to.
13. Encourage your student to talk to their teachers.

20. Let them know your expectations. Tell them what you expect.

14. Get to know the teachers and the school. Get involved.

21. Let your student know you beleive in them.

(*). School supplies: including ink pens, pencils, papers and notebooks. Let us know if you need us to give them to your student.
(**). Do you have any projects due? Do you have any homework? What's your favorite class? How are your classes going? How are your teachers doing?
(***). Cultural and educational events: If you can't take them, encourage them to go with other students. Broaden their world.
(****). Let them know how you feel-if you are disappointed or proud of them, show them and tell them.
